Cornice reproduction and installation in Kelvinbridge, Glasgow

We are often required to repair cornice that has been damaged due to water ingress and Dry/Wet Rot problems in bay windows. In this project, we fitted a new plasterboard ceiling which was then plastered by our experienced team. The detailed cornice decorations had to be carefully restored because they were over 100 years old and the water had softened the plaster. On the day of the cornice installation, we removed all of the damaged decorative cornices. Once all of the old decorations were taken down, we fitted moisture resistant plasterboards, which provide a strong base for the restored cornice to be fitted to. The before and after images show how successful we were at the restoration of the plaster decoration.
